Visitors / Travellers Induction
Each traveller/visitor remains responsible for his/her own health and safety and for those around him/her.
All pedestrians are to use walkways in the border facility.
When walking past the back of a vehicle, pedestrians must ensure the driver is aware of them walking past.
Vandalism of facility infrastructure is totally unacceptable and may attract a fine.
Commercial trucks and abnormal trucks have limited vision — please take care and stay out of their way, especially when they are reversing. Where possible, keep a 5m distance from a moving truck/vehicle.
Visitors suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be denied access to site.
Vulgar language is not allowed on site.
Gender-based violence and use of vulgar language towards staff and other travellers is totally unacceptable and must be reported to Police.
Fire equipment is not used for anything else except when there is a fire outbreak.
Obey all safety signs, speed limits, and notices within the border facility.
You are required to be safety conscious, e.g., standing still when you must answer your cell phone.
Entering areas marked NO UNAUTHORISED ENTRY is not allowed.
Leaning bicycles on the facility fence is totally prohibited.
Be mindful when moving around site — beware of moving traffic and always use designated walkways.
All ablution facilities are marked and should be utilised accordingly and be kept in a clean state.
To keep the border post facility clean, all litter is to be placed in the provided litter bins.
Travellers must park in their designated parking areas.
All travellers must seek assistance from government stakeholders, security officers, and Zimborders personnel to avoid being conned.
All travellers must sit in the designated sitting areas provided in the facility.
In the event of an emergency, travellers can call the numbers displayed at gatehouses for assistance.
